A Niche is a small portion of a market within a huge market. The trick in selecting a niche is finding something you are interested in. Stay focus  on that and only that. Master It. Then move on, once and only once it has been mastered. A few things to consider when selecting a profitable niche for yourself....

1. What may the future trend of the be? Could it it one day be you?
2. Are people willing to spend cash in this niche
3. How much are they willing to spend?
4. Are people already selling products in your niche and if so what products are being sold ?
5. Find out what you niche potential is from Google. It will give you some guidance thru your market.

When you are just starting out in your new niche it is a great IDEA to get good positive credibility. Word of mouth is still th best form of advertising to this day. 

How do you get any credibility if you are just starting out? When you find the niche you are going to become an expert in, Tell everyone. The reason you tell everyone you are an expert is because if you don't say it no one else will either. You Must Be Confident! Quote tips and results to prove to people that you do in fact know what you are talking about. Post your articles on an article directory. "An article directory is a website with collections of articles written about different subjects. Sometimes article directories are referred to as content farms, which are websites created to produce mass content."

IDEA: STAY WITH YOUR SPECIFIC NICHE FOR AT  LEAST A MONTH 

REMEMBER: THE KEY TO SUCCESS IS CONSISTENCY.
